If you would like to send samples for breeds needed just follow the directions below... |
Semen
Samples:
Semen does not have to be frozen but does need to be shipped
overnight. Let me know in advance and I will make
arrangements to receive your shipment.
You can put the straws in a padded envelope, usually
taped to a small piece of cardboard and ship them to us.
That's all there is to it.

Hair Samples:
Hair samples can be pulled from the switch at the end of the
tail. Try to get as close to the end as possible as this is
where the largest follicles usually are.
The hair has to be pulled and not cut because the root holds
the DNA that we need. Usually 200 hairs is enough and that
translates to about 3 or 4 good pulls. No need to count
these.
Once you have the samples separate each animal into ziplock
bags with the animals identification either on the bag or
inside it. Please make sure I can match these up to the pedigree
information.
Try to send this to
us if possible.

Try not to sent this.

Pedigree information:
The pedigree information is almost as important as the
samples. I need this info to allow comparison of the
different animals and also to reorder any that have
interesting genomes. If the pedigrees are online just send
me the links with the info I need in order to get to them. |
| Now that you have it all together email or call
to let us know it is on the way. I will make arrangements
to have someone available to receive it. You can send the
samples to...
